Study approach
Taiwan is part of the tropical areas. People use ice as the release of the hot weather. People started popularity at the Japanese eras. After that, Taiwanese people started developing and selling ice. They added different dressings and ingredients to them. In the modern days, different types of ice started flooding in Taiwan. Now, you can find various types of ice everywhere.
Research Purpose
Most of the people in Taiwan like to eat ice cream when the weather is hot. Though it is not a necessity in our life, people still purchase them no matter what. We started to question the reason for this, so we decided to use “ice” as our topic —”Break the Ice“.
Motivation
Iced treats play an influential role in Taiwan. We have scorching weather in summer, so they have become a dessert staple and our life’s chief pleasure. The trend – buying and eating iced treats – is really commonplace. Especially, Taiwanese people eat them really regularly no matter what the season is, but we just don’t know the stories behind this activity. With that, we would like to learn more about what attracts people of all ages to eat them. After researching the facts about iced treats, we are determined to unveil different types of traditional iced treats in Taiwan to answer our own questions.
Methods
To achieve our goal of the project “Break the Ice,” we first collected the information we needed and studied them precisely. Then, we interviewed Mr. Kuo about selling ice and the ice cream market. Lastly, we interviewed different people about their habits of eating ice cream.
